Grant has been designing and manufacturing heating solutions for over 4 decades and is one of the biggest providers of oil boilers in the UK. For homes that aren’t connected to the gas network, an oil boiler is an ideal alternative to a gas boiler. It works in the same way as a gas boiler except that it runs on oil, which is stored in a tank outside the property.
Grant has a wide variety of combi, regular and system oil boilers to choose from, ranging in output size from 12kW to 70kW. They are also available as internal and external models, giving you the option to install your boiler outside of your home if space is at a premium inside.
Grant boilers are extremely well-built, reliable and efficient, which is evidenced by the number of awards the company has won over the years.
Grant combi boilers
There are two boilers in the Grant combi boiler range: the VortexBlue and the Vortex Pro. These are available as internal or external models and in output sizes ranging from 21kW to 36kW.
Combi boilers connect directly to your mains water, eliminating the need for a cold water storage tank to be installed in your home. They are highly efficient and provide instant hot water whenever you turn on the tap.
Regular boilers are commonly referred to as traditional boilers because they are often found in older properties. They work by having a cold water storage tank fitted in the loft which sends water to the boiler. This water is heated and sent to either your central heating or to a hot water cylinder, where it is stored until you need it.
The majority of boilers that Grant manufactures are regular boilers. They are available in a range of models and outputs; designed to suit the requirements of any size of house. For smaller homes, the 16kW and 21kW sizes will be more than sufficient, but very large homes with multiple bathrooms and a high demand for hot water will benefit from the 58kW and 70kW options.
Choose from floor-standing or wall-mounted options, or if space is at a premium you can install an external boiler.
System boilers can easily be confused with regular boilers as both use a hot water cylinder to store hot water. However, system boilers connect directly to the main water supply so they don’t require the need for a cold water storage tank.
The system boilers manufactured by Grant are available in a range of outputs, as well as having the option to be installed inside or outside of the property.
