Who are Ariston?

The Italian company Ariston Thermo Group, a leader in heating solutions worldwide, owns Ariston UK. The Ariston brand was created when the company started making electric water heaters in the 1960s. The company was founded in 1930 as Industrie Merloni in the Marches region of Italy by Aristide Merloni. Ariston made the decision to enter the boiler market in the 1980s after dominating this industry in Italy by the 1970s. Combi boilers, system boilers, standard boilers, gas-fired water heaters, electric water heaters, and air source heat pump cylinders are just a few of the numerous products Ariston provides to the UK market. Ariston has a wide range of combi and system boilers, which are available in sizes ranging from 18kW to 31kW. Ariston has steadily built up a strong reputation for performance and reliability. It offers affordable, budget-friendly models but also has two premium ranges of boiler: the Alteas ONE and Genus ONE, which are able to go toe-to-toe with premium models from the likes of Worcester Bosch and Viessmann. These models both have an energy efficiency rating of 94% and come with a fantastic 12-year warranty as standard.

Ariston Boilers

Boiler systems manufactured by Ariston include combi, conventional, and system boilers. The type of system needed for your house will determine the cost of installing an Ariston boiler. The intricacy of the installation procedure, the amount of the system you require (in kW output), and the boiler model you select will all have an impact on prices. For instance, installing a conventional boiler will generally cost more than installing a combi boiler because regular systems have more parts and typically require more labour (unless it is a straight system swap).

Ariston combi boilers

Combi boilers are compact, condensing units that connect directly to your mains water supply. This has two major benefits. The first is that you don’t have to wait for hot water; simply turn on the tap and your combi boiler will fire up and produce hot water. The second is that you don’t have to install a hot water cylinder or cold water storage tank, which frees up space in your home and saves you money.
Ariston manufactures four models of combi boilers, ranging in size from 22kW to 31kW. This smaller size will be suitable for smaller homes with up to 9 radiators, whilst a 31kW boiler will be more suited to 3-4 bedroom houses with up to 15 radiators.

Ariston regular boilers

If you have a regular boiler that needs replacing, it’s often far easier and cheaper to replace it with another regular boiler. This is because you will already have a hot water cylinder and cold water storage tank installed in your home.

Ariston system boilers

System boilers connect to the mains water but also require a hot water cylinder to store water. The advantage of this is that, unlike a combi boiler, a system boiler is able to supply hot water to multiple outlets at the same time. If you have a house with a high demand for hot water or more than one bathroom, a system boiler will be able to meet your needs.
The system boilers from Ariston vary in output size from 18kW and 30kW, making them a good choice for small and medium-large houses. All of Ariston’s system boilers are A-rated for efficiency and work with a range of wired and wireless controls.
