What is opentherm?
OpenTherm (Compatible Room Stat Required) OpenTherm boilers allow for more precise control from the room thermostat to boiler’s software, which modifies the gas valves and central heating pumps. This allows for the exact gas input to be adjusted to the demand signal. If the house is one degree warmer, the control will tell the boiler to start at a lower power. The boiler can operate in condensing mode, which is more efficient, by reducing the flow temperature to 50degC. Even with the best controls, the boiler will continue to run at full power and consume significantly more electricity (gas and electric), increasing homeowners’ energy bills. Our HE80 boiler only applies the heat, which is a substantial saving. All this is automated by the boiler’s controls.
What flue options are there with the Ravenheat HE80?
Flue options The HE80 can have a 100mm standard (concentric), a 125mm or twin (eccentric), flue ducts. These can be mounted either horizontally or vertically, depending on the customer’s requirements. An individual one-metre standard horizontal flue kit can be purchased. This can be extended up to 8 meters if necessary, or up to 13 metres vertically (maximum with no bends). These flue arrangements will meet most needs, but there are other options (Twin and 125mm).
